We were in Burlington in October 2018 at the beginning of Big Trip #2.
We have parked the Airstream in my sister’s driveway in Burlington, NC, a couple times. It’s a wonderful campground! One especially exciting activity this visit: Bugsy got to meet her new cousin, Sabine the Dachshund! They ignored each other really well. Good dogs!
Airstream Service Center
If we need Airstream work done, our service provider of choice is Out of Doors Mart, just outside Greensboro, NC. They’ve done a few minor fixes for us in the past, and we needed a couple more before starting this next Big Trip. We recommend them for fast, reliable service. While the trailer was in the shop, we did some computer work at Common Grounds coffee shop in Greensboro. They have fun coffee drinks, but only a small selection of teas and snacks, and it was weirdly full of really noisy people.
Burlington Restaurants
When we visit Burlington, we love to eat at The Root and Tangent, sister restaurants in neighboring Elon. They both had no power due to a crazy storm so we ended up at Mellow Mushroom for good beer, pizza, sandwiches, and salads.
Of course we had Biscuitville before hitting the road for Atlanta. The meat-eaters in the group tried the new waffle sandwich with egg and sausage and gave it multiple thumbs up!
