DODGING DUCK BREWHAUS
Calling Dodging Duck Brewhaus a brewery may be a bit of a misnomer. It’s more of a bistro that brews its own beer. But, they’ve been brewing at Dodging Duck for close to 20 years.
It’s in a cool little building that somewhat resembles a house. We sat outside, in picnic tables overlooking Cibolo Creek. Unfortunately, in between us and the creek was a busy two lane road that detracted somewhat from what would have otherwise been a serene environment.
The beer wasn’t my favorite, but I did appreciate their spirit of experimentation. The Pecan Ale, for instance, was really interesting and good for a taste, although I couldn’t have put down an entire pint. The food, on the other hand, looked really good, although we only had chips and guac. Anyway, I wouldn’t drive 45 minutes out of your way to go to Dodging Duck like we did, but if you happen to be in Boerne, TX it’s definitely worth a visit.
You can only find Dodging Duck beer at their restaurant.
