OAK CREEK BREWING CO
Oak Creek Brewing has two locations in Sedona – a “brewery and taproom” a couple of miles outside Uptown Sedona and a “brewery and grill” in the heart of Uptown Sedona. We intended to visit the taproom, but it was inexplicably closed when we were there. This was unfortunate as it looked fantastic from the outside, in a rustic-looking building with a big patio in a cool neighborhood.
The “brewery and grill” was anything but fantastic, although the food was decent. The atmosphere reminded me more of a cheap steakhouse than of a brewery. We arrived late in the lunch hour on a weekday and the place was a zoo, much like the rest of Uptown Sedona. The beer was just fine, but we struggled to get past the atmosphere. We shared a flight and I polished off an IPA and we hit the road.
When we make it back to Sedona I’ll try to visit the taproom. I’ll avoid the grill.
