After weeks and weeks of research, questions, pro/con lists, and hours spent sitting in a trailer of one floorplan, then the other, then puttering around the kitchen of one, then the other… we made a decision. We chose a 2016 27FB International Serenity.
After initially considering a 19′, then 23′, then 25′, as soon as I experienced the joy of being able to walk, rather than scale the wall, to my side of the bed (because I would have the inside of the sideways bed) I knew I wanted the inline bed. So we were back and forth between the 27FB and 28. Pros and cons included:
28 pros:
- wardrobes
- extra “living room”
- exterior rear storage
- side windows look out on patio (door) side
27 pros:
- lounge windows in rear
- pantry
- space for trashcan (In the 28, people recommended putting the trashcan under the dinette, or in the nook by the door, or in the bedroom, none of which appealed to us)
- microwave built in
In the end, it was having the view in the rear lounge area that decided it for us.
